Paper Wire

An exercise in creativity using the concepts of Purple and Paperclip. Somehow I turned that into a deer marionette made of purple paper suspended by wires. Well, the paper is more white than purple, but it’s close enough.

The deer was extremely fun to draw as if made by origami. I also like how the pose came out, which is probably not quite possible for a real deer, but looks whimsical all the same. The wires in the background are supposed to look sort of like rain, for no real reason. They don’t look like rain, because I fail, but oh well.

Any advice on making that look more like paper? And a tutorial for rain if anyone knows a good one.
